Stacey Shine

Stacey Shine is a process-driven, intuitive artist whose ideas evolve organically. Her Surf Beach shack is a layered artwork in itself, with every surface painted to reflect her beloved Gippsland surroundings. Her work is shaped by surrounding energy, materials, and environment rather than by a predetermined plan.Stacey’s art invites viewers to connect with their senses, notice their surroundings, and find beauty in unlikely materials. Found and overlooked objects are transformed into layered works that reflect care for resources and the natural environment. Immersed in an ever-changing coastal landscape, she translates these impressions into bold, tactile artworks that celebrate movement, emotion, and connection. As both an art teacher and disability support worker, Stacey brings creativity, inclusion, and sustainability into her everyday life and practice. She believes art is accessible to everyone, and that creative expression can be found in unexpected places. Through her work, she encourages others to embrace imperfection, explore different media and techniques, and trust the creative process without focusing too heavily on the final result.
